Recreation

City Parks:   Three city parks and the public high school offer a variety of activities.  Softball and baseball fields, a football field, an ice rink, sand volleyball courts, horseshoes rings, play equipment, camp sites and picnic shelters are all available for use. 

 

Kids' Kingdom:   Constructed in October of 1997, this 10,000 sq.ft. playground was designed by local schoolchildren and built entirely by over 1,000 community volunteers.  An obstacle course, mazes, catwalk, a covered bridge and a pirate ship are all part of the fun.  Located in the Covered Bridge Park.

  

Swimming Pool:   The City's public swimming pool is located on the north side of the Covered Bridge Park.  Open during the summer months, it provides recreational swimming as well as lessons. (507) 732-5439

 

Trail System:   Approximately 5 miles of scenic walking trails wind through the Covered Bridge Park, over an old railroad trestle, through beautiful hardwoods and over the ZumbroRiver by way of the Covered Bridge.  Zumbrota is also a link in the Goodhue Pioneer State Trail and the greater MN Zumbrowatha Snowmobile Trail.

 

State Theatre: 96 E 4th Street ~ The Historic State Theatre provides a venue for numerous media events including movies, concerts, plays, etc.  A real treasure for locals and visitors alike.  507-732-5210

 

Zumbrota Golf Course: 80 Golf Links Avenue ~ The Zumbrota Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole course located on the north side of Zumbrota. (507) 732-5817
